Hare Coursing in Fylde

Hare Coursing in Fylde

We have received a number of hare coursing reports across Fylde in the past few weeks.

Fylde Rural Task Force are out in the areas patrolling and stopping any vehicles or people we suspect are involved. We have gathered details of a number of people as well as photos of clothing/dogs should we need to refer back to them.

If you see any hare coursing you should contact the police on 999, it is an emergency and will classed as such.

We have provided training to other officers that cover Fylde should we be on our days off.

Those that have the Rural Task Force phone number can also ring that however it is not manned when we are off duty.

If in a safe position to do so, vehicle registrations and descriptions of those involved are very helpful for officers.

If you have CCTV, make sure it is fully charged or connected. Keep gates locked and secure if possible.

Do not challenge those on land and keep a safe distance from them.

If you have any questions please contact us on FyldeRTF@lancashire.police.uk or reply to this message.
